It is located on an east facing waterfront of Lake Macquarie in the undeveloped suburb of Silverwater near Balcolyn east of Morisset - situated on a peninsular that extends eastwards into Lake Macquarie from the south-west.
Activities and Local Attractions
All lake water sports are a stones throw away with water skiing, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and fishing for both the spectator and active participant. The local sailing club has Friday evening and Sunday afternoon racing over summer for interesting viewing from the Lakehouse- especially in a gusty southerly !  The waterfront at a A Lakefront House is suitable for skiing and swimming. There are several natural gently sloping areas in front of a lakefront house that would be suitable for launching a boat but it is best to use public concrete boat ramps within 2 km. A boat can be anchored just off shore or beached and tied up on the waterfront. A jetty is located along the lakeside reserve a short stroll away. There is ample space in the triple garage to secure your boat and other watercraft when staying.

The Lakehouse is on 2/3 of an acre of tranquil waterfront land adjoining many acres of lakefront reserve. You can wander through gardens and fruit trees and then select your preferred site on the waterfront reserve be it sunny, shady, rocky, sandy, pebbly, grassy or bushy.

Olney State Forest with picnic areas and walking trails is 20 minutes away and the Watagans National Park with lovely rainforest walking trails and picnic areas is 40 minutes drive away

The closest shopping centre is 3km away with green grocery store, bakery, a recommended fresh fish & chips shop, butcher, independent supermarket, newsagent, pharmacy, video hire, bottleshop, hairdresser, hardware and a variety of other stores including a range of takeaway shops, eat-in cafe and  the popular family-friendly bay hotel bistro.
